Sending application

Check your application and the appendices before you press ‘Send’. You can see a list of the mandatory appendices below.

Once you have pressed ‘Send’ you cannot edit your application.

Receipt
You will immediately get a text on the screen stating that your application has been sent. The return receipt by email may take a few hours. If you do not get a receipt on your screen, your application has not been submitted.

Send: Comments

Please check your application before you press “Send”. From September 2019 it is no longer possible to check the application after it has been sent because the link to the application in the return receipt (e-mail) was removed due to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you suspect you have made an error in the application or uploaded the wrong document you need to fill out and send a whole new and complete application (before the application deadline). We will assess the application received last and automatically delete the first one when we find two applications from you to the same call.

I have pressed Send but I am not sure whether the application was sent or not?
If you get a receipt on your screen your application has been sent. If you do not receive an email later there might be a typing error in your e-mail address. If you have a spam filter please check that as well.

I am unable to send my application

  • Make sure you have filled in all fields marked with a star *. 
  • Do not use a Tablet or Smartphone when you send your application. Send your application from a computer.
  • Try sending your application from another browser and reduce the size of your PDF files.

I cannot send my application because my CV is missing but I have uploaded it to my application
If you try to send your application from an iPad or a similar device you will get this error. You have to send your application from a computer. Check that all your documents have been saved as PDF.

I am getting the error "Credit transfer must be 0 or a positive integer" when I try to send my application
Please make sure that you have entered '0' in the box "Credit transfer on top of admission level (Months)". Fill out the box before you choose "Applying for 4+4" because the credit box will disappear when you choose 4+4.

I am getting the error "If there are no particular expenses, please just enter 0" when I try to send my application
Please make sure that you have entered '0' in the box "Total budget in DKK for particular expenses" and left the box "Indicate sources and amounts of possible financial support, if any" blank.

I have sent my application, but I have found an error in the application. What do I do?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to send appendices other than the Master’s degree certificate (only 5+3 applications) after the deadline.

How do I add or replace a document in my application?

Do not send appendices by replying to the e-mail you received from the application facility (aphd@psys.au.dk). Most files sent to this address will not get through. Please fill out and send a whole new and complete application (before the application deadline).
