The Graduate School, Arts works in collaboration with international partners. The programmes may be organised in collaboration with one or more cooperating foreign PhD training institutions. Enrolment based on collaboration on degrees at two institutions will be based on framework agreements between the Graduate School, Arts and the partner institution. Similarly, individual agreements will be entered into with partners concerning the content of a student's PhD programme. The PhD plan will then be based on this agreement.
The Graduate School enrolls PhD students on cotutelle-/double-/joint schemes through existing framework agreements only, where the involved institutions recruit PhD students jointly. Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs)/learning agreements between the involved institutions must be drawn up before recruiting PhD students.
PhD students on double/joint schemes must officially enroll at the relevant institutions and thus meet all requirements of the institutions/countries with the aim of earning a double- or joint PhD degree issued in collaboration between the institutions.
