Public transport

What kind of transportation can be reimbursed? 

  • The cheapest form must be used (public transport).
  • Taxi rides are usually only granted due to health-related problems.
  • The taxi ride must be approved by the Graduate School, Arts before it takes place.

Transport within Denmark

  • You are asked to arrange the necessary transport yourself.
  • Graduate School, Arts will reimburse your expenses afterwards.
  • The cheapest form must be used (public transport).

  • Always remember to buy your ticket before getting on the bus, train, metro etc. It is not possible to buy a ticket afterwards. This applies for all operators of public transport.

There is an airport shuttle bus between Aarhus and Aarhus airport with several daily departures. You can find more information here.

How to plan your journey

  • To plan your journey, we recommend that you use the online journey planner Rejseplanen or Google Maps in app form.
  • You can use Rejseplanen online through this link.
    • Type in departure and arrival station, stop or address. Enter the date and time of departure or arrival. Press 'Find journey'. Rejseplanen will show you a list of transportation possibilities that match your request.

  • Public transport in Aarhus is operated by midttrafik.
  • You can buy a day ticket for unlimited travel throughout Aarhus.

It is your own responsibility to be aware of the terms for your ticket and to have a valid ticket. The Graduate School Arts does not cover inspection fees. You can read more about the travel rules here.
